Optional specialty plates can promote tourism and local identity without imposing mandates or costs on residents who choose not to participate.

This bill would be a large burden to many families in nh. Most families with young children have multiple bikes and would have to pay hundreds if dollars for registration.
Keith Evans, Fremontopposes
I am vehemently opposed to the $50 bike registration bill as this would hurt NH residents for exercise, getting outside and a form of transportation for a lot who have no other means of getting to work ???????????? Roy C
Roy Cuddahy, Gilfordopposes
I believe this bills is completely unnecessary considering bicyclist do no damage to roadways or trails so they should not be required to register there bike. This is asinine to think they should be forced to register a bike that is used for mostly FUN! Get a grip nh
Daegan Scott, Hooksettopposes
I like the idea of seasonal/tourism plates, but not as a replacement to the current plate. It was my understanding based on other hearings recently that the DMV is going to have new license plate design/printing technology next year.
